  2. ACG is the largest American college or university in Europe, and a truly international learning community.
  3. Students in virtually any academic major can find courses to apply towards graduation in their home institution. All classes at ACG are taught in English.
  4. ACG offers a holistic student experience with a full range of co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
  5. ACG’s student residences, built for the 2004 US Olympic team, provide a comfortable and enriching living environment.
  6. ACG is a great value. Its semester comprehensive fee is similar to what most in-state students can expect to pay for a semester at VCU!
Advising:
Interested students are strongly encouraged to meet with Annia Dowell-Wiltshire prior to applying to this program. You can make an appointment with Annia here.

To Apply:
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Applicants should complete the online VCU registration by clicking the "Register Now" link above, and submit an online application and all supporting materials directly to ACG.

Tuition and Fees:
Students pay ACG's semester comprehensive fee, which includes full-time tuition, housing, programmatic support, and access to ACG's co-curricular program, as well as many other services. You can review semester fees and inclusions on ACG's website under "Comprehensive Study Abroad Fee (per semester)." We encourage you to explore the Funding Options section of our website to see more information about paying for study abroad.

Curriculum:
With 21 majors, 32 minors, and over 1,000 courses offered each year, ACG provides students with plenty of courses to choose from in business, fine arts, humanities, social sciences, communication—and more! Please refer to ACG's complete course listing and course descriptions, as well as their semester schedules, to plan your coursework. Students will enroll in 12-15 credits per semester.

Many of ACG's course have been pre-approved to transfer to VCU. If you are interested in taking a course not listed in the database, please contact Annia for assistance with getting it approved.

Transfer of Credit:
Students must earn the equivalent of the grade of C or higher in a given course to be eligible for transfer credit. Students are required to take the necessary steps to ensure that transcripts are received from the university upon return to VCU.

Academic Calendar:

Housing:
The American College of Greece operates a modern Residence Complex just a short walk from campus. Students housed in ACG apartments live in a safe, clean, residential environment in a quiet neighborhood with nearby grocery stores, cafés, restaurants and shopping centers. ACG's Residence Complex consists of fully furnished studio, single and double bedrooms in shared apartments. You can review more information about housing on ACG's website.

Dining and Other Services:
ACG offers a meal plan that students may opt into, on an additional fee-paying basis. Students also have access to fully-equipped kitchens in their program housing. Many different meal options are available within walking distance of campus, including traditional Greek cafes and restaurants, as well as the campus cafeteria and Starbucks. One highlight is the traditional Greek farmers market that occurs seasonally on the street outside of the residence hall, offering students the opportunity to learn more about the Greek diet and purchase fresh produce, fish, and eggs at a very low cost.

In Your Free Time:
ACG offers an extensive co-curricular program to help students engage with Athens and the ACG community. The programs includes many components, from day trips to casual gatherings to a Greek host family program.

Outside of campus, students are encouraged to explore Athens' many cultural opportunities and historic monuments like the Parthenon and Acropolis. Athens has a safe, comprehensive metro system that gives students an easy way to explore downtown. ACG is only a few stops away from the Athens airport, making it an ideal base from which to explore Greece's islands and other European countries.
