Program Description:
International Students Studying at Home

International students with an F-1 visa, studying in their home country at a university that is not affiliated with VCU, should complete this registration.  If you are not studying in your home country or you do not have an F-1 visa to study in the US, please visit the Apply to/Register for a Program page to complete the appropriate study abroad registration.

Complete this registration if (all of the below must apply):
  • You are an international student with an F-1 visa.
  • You are studying in your home country at a university that is not affiliated with VCU
  • You intend to transfer credits back to VCU towards the completion of your VCU degree
Students should meet with their academic advisor prior to leaving to determine course equivalencies and complete the course approval form.  Once the course approval form is complete, please email the signed course approval form to syoung8@vcu.edu.  
 
Please note: School of Business students must meet with their academic advisor before completing this form.  Upper-level credits earned from institutions in your home country will be approved by the School of Business on a case-by-case basis.
