Your actual cost of participating in the program may be higher or lower, depending on a variety of factors.

The program fee is $5,150 and includes the following:
  • 6 credits of tuition
  • Shared accommodations in Athens. (Single rooms may be available for an upgrade fee.)
  • Full-time ACG Study Abroad staff and resident advisor
  • Transportation to ACG campus from Athens airport
  • One excursion
  • Official transcript to be sent to VCU
  • Pre-departure orientation
  • CISI international health and emergency assistance insurance plan
  • VCU $250 Education Abroad Administration Fee
  • Faculty Compensation
The following are not included in the program fee. Students are responsible for:
  • Airfare
  • Meals
  • Passport application or renewal fee, if applicable
  • Linens (towels, sheets, etc.) for apartment
  • Personal expenses during the program, estimated at $700
  • 8-14% of the program fee for Cancel/Interrupt for Any Reason (CFAR/IFAR) Insurance - see the Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy & Preparation Section for more information
Airfare
Airfare is not included. Participants are responsible for making their own round-trip travel arrangements from the US to their destination. Program directors will meet with accepted students to discuss specific travel logistics and may help students in identifying low-cost travel options and possibly book flights together. For best fares, students are encouraged to purchase their tickets prior to April 15, but not prior to the program being officially confirmed as fully enrolled. Tuition
6 credits of tuition are included in the program fee.
