Are you studying abroad this summer or fall? Join us for this optional pre-departure orientation session, which will focus on international travel basics: from finding the right plane ticket, packing tips, what to expect at customs, and more! We’ll also go over some tips & tricks to help you budget while you’re abroad.

VCU's affiliate study abroad provider, ISA & TEAN by WorldStrides, will be on campus Wed., April 17, 2024. Visiting representative Craig Jefferson will hold drop-in advising hours in the Global Education Office (912 W. Grace St.; 4th floor) from 10:45am until 12:00pm as well as present a general Information Session from 1pm until 2:15pm in Hibbs Hall (900 Park Ave.) room 405.

Join Education Abroad and VCUPD at this optional Pre-Departure Orientation Session all about personal safety while traveling. VCUPD will cover such topics as: keeping personal property safe (i.e. passports), general street-smarts (i.e. pickpocketing), independent travel, the legality of pepper-spray outside the US, how to best utilize VCU's services from afar, and more! If you are planning to study abroad during the summer or fall semester(s) and are NOT participating in a faculty-led program or ISI, you are required to attend VCU GEO'S Pre-Departure Orientation May 1st from 10am until 1pm in the New Stem Building (807 W. Franklin St.) in Room 216.
