Mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO)
If you are planning to study abroad during the summer or fall semester(s) and are NOT participating in a faculty-led program or ISI, you are required to attend VCU GEO'S Pre-Departure Orientation May 1st from 10am until 1pm in the New Stem Building (807 W. Franklin St.) in Room 216.
Worldwide Caution
The U.S. Department of State issued a worldwide caution in October 2023 advising U.S. travelers overseas to exercise increased caution due to the potential for violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests. We encourage you to read the Worldwide Caution message in full, in addition to your host country's travel advisory.

GEO is offering one free U.S. passport-style photograph to VCU students on the first Tues. from 1 - 3 p.m. and the 3rd Wednesday from 9 - 11 a.m. of every month. Sign up for a 15-minute time slot at https://bit.ly/48vyeCK. Sign-ups are first-come, first-serve.
